AMYTHOS MEDIA INC. is an independent, award-winning documentary film and interactive media production company committed to creative storytelling. Founded in 1993, Amythos Media Inc. has earned International recognition by delivering high-quality, socially engaged productions in both traditional and emerging platforms.

Founder and president Amit Breuer is a Canadian-Israeli award-winning producer and director. Born and raised in Israel, she founded Amythos Films (now Amythos Media Inc.) one of the first independent documentary production companies in the country. In 2004, Breuer immigrated to Toronto, where she has emerged as an innovative documentary producer, works as an industry consultant, and regularly sit on panels and juries at festivals and for funding agencies.

While continuing to produce compelling traditional work, Amythos Media is reenvisioning documentary storytelling by exploring new and emerging technology and story architecture. Some noteworthy projects include: PURITY (2003, Yamagata audience Award, 2003 Golden FIPA Biarritz); CHECKPOINT (2004, winner of over 12 major International awards); LOVE LETTERS TO THE FUTURE (2009, an innovative Alternative Reality Game that won two 2010 Webby Awards and a Gemini for best non-fiction original program for a digital platform, and was a finalist at SXSW); and GUANTANAMO TRAP (2011, premiered at Hot Docs and won the Special Jury Award).
